Verse of the Day:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
Devotion:
Few things shake the human heart more than the fear of abandonment. The feeling of being left alone in the middle of a battle, trial, or storm can be overwhelming. But God’s Word gives us a powerful, comforting truth: He will never leave you.
When Moses handed the leadership mantle to Joshua, the task ahead was intimidating. Conquering nations, leading people, stepping into unknown territory—it was too much for one man to carry. But Moses didn’t give Joshua a strategy first—he gave him a promise: “The Lord your God goes with you.”
And that same promise is yours.
Whether you’re facing a diagnosis, a financial mountain, a broken relationship, or a season of waiting, you are not alone. God isn’t just watching from above—He’s walking beside you. He’s not a distant God who checks in occasionally. He’s a faithful Father who stays close, even when others walk away.
When you feel unworthy, He remains. When you feel afraid, He strengthens. When you feel like giving up, He carries you through. His presence doesn’t come and go based on your performance—it’s rooted in His character.
You don’t have to earn His faithfulness. It’s who He is.
So today, breathe. Stand strong. Move forward—not because you’re fearless, but because you’re never alone. The God who promised to stay has never broken a promise yet.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for never leaving me. When I feel afraid, uncertain, or overwhelmed, help me remember that You are right here with me. Your presence is my peace. You are my strength when I feel weak and my confidence when I feel unsure. I don’t have to walk through this life alone. Even when I can’t see You, I trust that You are near. Remind me daily that I am surrounded, supported, and sustained by Your faithful love. I place my fears, my doubts, and my burdens in Your hands. Thank You for being my constant companion. In Jesus’ name, amen.
