Verse of the Day:
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” – Hebrews 11:8 (NKJV)
Devotion:
Faith is not just believing in your heart—it’s moving with your feet. True faith walks forward even when the destination is unknown. That’s what Abraham did. God told him to leave everything familiar and go “to the land I will show you.” No address. No map. Just a promise.
Abraham didn’t wait for more details. He didn’t demand a sign or a guarantee. He simply obeyed by faith, trusting that if God called him, then God would lead him. That’s the kind of faith that pleases God—a faith that moves forward.
You may not know what’s next. You might feel like you’re standing at the edge of a decision, a change, or a calling, and the path ahead is blurry. But faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about following the One who is the Answer.
Often, God doesn’t show the whole picture because He wants you to depend on Him step by step. He gives light for today, strength for this moment, and grace for the next mile. But movement is your part. Trust is your role.
Don’t wait for all the conditions to be perfect. Don’t let fear paralyze you. If God is prompting you to take a step, move in faith. Forward is still forward, even if it’s slow.
You don’t have to know the destination when you know the One who’s leading the way.
Prayer:
God, I thank You for calling me forward—even when I can’t see the full path. Sometimes, fear and uncertainty try to hold me back. But today, I choose to trust You and take the step You’ve placed in front of me. Like Abraham, I want to obey without needing all the answers. Help me to move with confidence, not in my own strength, but in Your faithfulness. Give me courage to walk by faith, one step at a time. Lead me, Lord, and I will follow. I trust that wherever You guide me, You will also provide for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
